FAQ's

What is the main difference between SmartHub™ and SmartHub™ Long Range?

Each remote monitoring device uses a different wireless technology which impacts the wireless connection range between the sensor and the Hub. The SmartHub™ Long Range can be installed at a farther distance, up to 1000 ft (300m) from the 2 in (5cm) embedded SmartRock® Long Range sensors. This means the SmartHub™ Long Range will be able to connect simultaneously to sensors in a much larger area.  The SmartHub™ allows for the same 15-minute remote monitoring connectivity but connects to embedded SmartRock® sensors in a 60ft (18 m) radius.

Can SmartRock® sensors connect to the SmartHub™ Long Range?

OnlySmartRock® Long Range sensors are compatible with the SmartHub™ Long Range. Remote monitoring with SmartRock® requires the SmartHub™.

Will I lose my temperature measurements if the SmartHub™ or SmartHub™ Long Range stops transmitting data?

Both SmartRock® and the SmartRock® Long range have an internal memory and will continue to collect data until their memory is full. Users can also collect data with their smartphone at any time, independently of whether the SmartRock® is connected to a Hub or not. In the event that data transmission stops for any reason, the SmartHub™ is designed to transmit all missed data collected as soon as connection is regained.
